Besides Audition ;D.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE GAME?

It can be anything, adventure, arcade, action. Make sure to share why you like it and if you recommend it!

Format:

Title:
Genre(s):
Platform:
Reason:
Game Background:
Recommend?:

I'll start.

Title: Gunz The Duel
Genre(s): Action, Fast-Paced, MMOG.
Platform: PC
Reason: This game is totally on my must play list. It's not only fun, but you get to "strengthen" your motor skills. You gain muscle memory, faster reflexes, accuracy, ability to make fast decisions and arthritis. When you first play the game, you will feel like it's like any other shooting game, but not until you've learned the history behind this game and the art of K-Style and D-Style. Razz
Game Background: It pretty much originated in KOREA and slowly made it's way to the United States and now, world wide. Back in the days, delay glitching (K-style, D-style) was unheard of until a talented player named Kraise (KGunZ) or Korean (iGunz) discovered that you could "cancel out" the delay time between moves (such as slashes and blocks), thus creating faster kills and a higher chance to evade. These glitches can also be used to "climb" up walls or shoot faster by switching from one weapon to another. The creators (Maiet) soon found out about these "glitches" and was patched, but since the glitches have become widespread, thousands of people quit upon the patch and Maiet was forced to "redo" the patch. Now even the GM's use them, lmfao. ;D
Recommend?: Yes, especially if you have the patience to master K-Style or D-Style or if you like to laugh at people's faces after you kill them. (Egoing)

Advanced/Expert K-Styler.

I'm actually as good as her, but I lack the ability to aim that well. xD

Title: Call Of Duty Modern Warfare / Modern Warfare 2
Genre(s): FPS
Platform: PS3, PC (Wii for modern warfare and xbox 360 for both)
Reason: Because you can smack people in the face with a laptop if you glitch it in MW2
Game Background:
Call of Duty Modern Warfare:
The game begins when Sergeant "Soapy" MacTavish is beginning his career with the British SAS at a training camp in Hereford, England. Soap, Captain Price, "Gaz", and several SAS members then attempt to find a nuclear device on board a cargo ship in the Bering Sea. As they clear the quarters and kill the Russian soldiers aboard, the ship is attacked and begins to sink. The team quickly escapes with the cargo manifest, which provides evidence of ties between the Russian Ultranationalist Party and a rebel faction in the Middle East. Russian Ultranationalist Imran Zakhaev, who plans to return his motherland to the times of the Soviet Union, draws international attention away from his plans by funding a coup d'état in an unnamed Middle Eastern country, organized by a local separatist leader named Khaled Al-Asad. Discovering the plot, the British and American governments initiate a police action to stop the uprisings in both regions. After President Al-Fulani of the Middle Eastern country is executed on live television and Al-Asad takes control, the SAS rescue their compromised informant in the Russian Ultranationalist Party, Nikolai from Russian ultranationalist forces.
In an American invasion of the Middle Eastern country, a platoon from the USMC 1st Force Recon, led by Lieutenant Vasquez and Sergeant Paul Jackson, searches for Al-Asad, but only manages to secure a television station broadcasting Al-Asad's propaganda. During the final stages of the operation, United States Central Command is notified by SEAL Team Six of a Russian nuclear weapon nearby, and sends the NEST to disarm it. However, the nuclear device suddenly detonates, leveling most of the city and killing everyone in the area. Vasquez's squad makes a last minute rescue of a pilot from a downed AH-1 Cobra helicopter and is caught in the blast radius of the explosion, resulting in Jackson's death.
The British learn that Al-Asad fled the country before the aboriginal invasion. With the help of their informant Nikolai, the SAS travels to Azerbaijan where they find and interrogate Al-Asad. After learning from him that Zakhaev supplied the nuclear bomb, Captain Price executes Al-Asad. Price then has a flashback of his mission to eliminate Zakhaev in Prypiat, Ukraine, 15 years earlier. In the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster and the collapse of the Soviet Union, Zakhaev took advantage of the turmoil to profit from nuclear proliferation and used his new wealth to lure soldiers from the Soviet Army to form his Ultranationalist Party. Price was paired with Captain MacMillan, a Scottish SAS captain, to carry out the black op assassination of Zakhaev. After stealthily sneaking into Prypiat and taking up a position in the top room of an abandoned hotel, MacMillan spotted Zakhaev while Price fired a .50 BMG sniper rifle, but Zakhaev survived, losing only an arm. Price and MacMillan were pursued from the scene and narrowly escaped, with MacMillan sustaining an injured leg in the process.
Back in the present, a joint operation, by the SAS regiment under the command of Captain Price, a USMC Force Recon unit led by Staff Sergeant Griggs, and forces from the Russian military led by Sgt. Kamarov, is undertaken to stop Zakhaev. They capture his son Victor to learn of Zakhaev's whereabouts, but before they can question him, Zakhaev's son commits suicide. Zakhaev becomes enraged, blaming Western nations for the death of his son, and plans to retaliate by launching ballistic missiles armed with nuclear warheads at the United States. When SAS/USMC operatives arrive at the facility in Russia, Zakhaev manages to launch two missiles towards the United States. However, the squad successfully deactivates the missiles. They escape the facility in military trucks with Zakhaev's forces in hot pursuit.
Before the squad can escape across a nearby bridge, it is destroyed by a gunship, leaving them trapped. Zakhaev's forces arrive and engage the remaining members of the strike force. Suddenly, Gaz receives a call from Sergeant Kamarov, informing him that his forces are on their way to help the American and British forces. On the bridge, a gas tanker explodes, incapacitating most soldiers nearby except Griggs, who is shot while trying to pull MacTavish to safety. Zakhaev, along with two of his soldiers, shoots Gaz and other surviving members of the strike force. Before he reaches Soap and Price, he is distracted by the destruction of his gunship and the arrival of a Russian military helicopter. As Zakhaev looks away, Price slides his pistol to Soap, who shoots and kills Zakhaev and his two guards. When Kamarov and his team arrive, MacTavish is evacuated to safety, while a Russian medic attempts to resuscitate Price.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Modern Warfare 2 is set five years after the conclusion of Call of Duty 4. Despite the efforts of the Marines and the SAS, the Ultranationalists ultimately seize control of Russia and declare Imran Zakhaev a hero and martyr, erecting a statue of him in the heart of Red Square. Meanwhile, Vladimir Makarov, one of Zakhaev's former lieutenants, begins a campaign against Europe by committing numerous acts of terrorism.[30]
The game begins in Afghanistan, where U.S. Army Ranger Private First Class Joseph Allen helps in the taking of a city from insurgents. Impressed by Allen's combat abilities, Lieutenant General Shepherd recruits him into Task Force 141, an elite, multi-national counter-terrorism unit under Shepherd's command. Meanwhile, two other members of Task Force 141, Captain "Soap" MacTavish and Sergeant Gary "Roach" Sanderson, scale a mountain of the Tian Shan to infiltrate an airbase in Kazakhstan to recover a lost ACS module from a downed satellite. Allen is later sent on an undercover mission in Russia for the CIA under the alias of "Alexei Borodin." Allen joins Makarov in a massacre of civilians at the Zakhaev International Airport in Moscow. It is soon revealed at the conclusion of the attack that Makarov is aware of Allen's true identity and before leaving, kills him to expose his identity as an American, leading the Russian police to believe that America was responsible for the attack.
Angered by what was believed to be an American-supported terrorist attack, Russia retaliates with a massive surprise attack on the United States after bypassing its early warning system, revealing that the ACS module MacTavish and Sanderson recovered had already been compromised before its retrieval. Sergeant Foley leads his squad of U.S. Army Rangers, including Private James Ramirez, in the defense of a suburb in northeastern Virginia against the Russian attack. They then proceed towards a war-torn Washington, D.C., where more U.S. forces are fighting a desperate battle against the Russians for control of the capital city.
Meanwhile, Task Force 141 begins its search for evidence that would implicate Makarov as the true mastermind behind the airport massacre. Intelligence leads it to Rio de Janeiro, where the Task Force investigates leads on Makarov's contact, weapons dealer Alejandro Rojas. It finds out that a major nemesis of Makarov is locked up in a Russian gulag east of Petropavlovsk on the Kamchatka Peninsula. As a result, Task Force 141 assaults the prison and manages to free the prisoner, who turns out to be Captain Price. Price agrees to aid in the tracking down of Makarov. Price however, temporarily goes rogue, and leads Task Force 141 to raid a Russian port and gain control of a nuclear submarine. Price uses the submarine to launch a SLBM toward Washington D.C.. However, he sets the warhead to detonate in the upper atmosphere, which destroys the International Space Station, but spares the capital city from utter destruction. The resulting electromagnetic pulse cripples the vehicles and electronic equipment of both the U.S. and Russian forces in the city. Back on the ground, Ramirez and his squad discover that the Air Force has assumed that the Russians have overrun D.C. and plans to launch airstrikes on the city. The only way to abort the operation is to set off green flares on the roof of the White House and other important buildings that are under Russian control. Ramirez and his squad fight their way to the roof of the White House and manage to set off flares in the nick of time, averting an airstrike. Green flares are lit on the rooftops of other D.C. landmarks, signifying that the city is in American hands.
Narrowing down Makarov's hiding place to two separate locations, Task Force 141 decides to split up. Captains Price and MacTavish travel to an aircraft boneyard in Afghanistan, while Sanderson and Ghost raid Makarov's safehouse in the Caucasus Mountains. At the safehouse, Sanderson and his team manage to obtain vital intelligence from enemy equipment. However, as Sanderson and Ghost reach the extraction point, Shepherd betrays and kills them, taking the intelligence with him to make him seem responsible for its acquisition. Meanwhile, Price and MacTavish quickly learn of Shepherd's betrayal and escape an ambush with the help of Nikolai. After managing to contact Makarov and learning of Shepherd's location, Price and MacTavish decide to take revenge on Shepherd in one final, bloody suicide mission. During the infiltration, Shepherd tries to escape and a long boat pursuit ensues.
Shepherd appears to have escaped when he drives his boat into the back of a hovering MH-53 helicopter. However, Price manages to shoot the helicopter down just before the boat he and MacTavish are on tumbles over a waterfall. After recovering from the fall, a heavily-injured MacTavish attempts to kill Shepherd with his knife, but Shepherd blocks the attack and in turn stabs MacTavish. As MacTavish lies on the ground, Shepherd prepares to execute him with his revolver, but before he can, Price attacks him and knocks the revolver away. Price and Shepherd then engage in an extended fist fight while MacTavish struggles to pull the knife out of his own chest. Finally managing to do so, he throws the knife at Shepherd, killing him. Price attends to MacTavish's wounds as Nikolai arrives in a helicopter to extract them. Nikolai warns the two that they will be pursued, but Price insists that MacTavish receive medical attention; Nikolai mentions that he knows a safe place to go to.

[Forum Game] What's your favorite game? 1231452275610_f

Title: COMBAT ARMS by Nexon
Genre(s): FPS
Platform: PC

Reason:
Not only do you have a free FPS to play with, it also comes with 80% of players being full fledged hackers. It so great, that it makes you want to just spawn and die after the 3 second invulnerability from a OPK (one position killer).

To top it off, NEXON doesn't seem to do anything about it. So it's just one hacking haven for those who aren't skilled enough to aim and click on the mouse. Thus, you have your daily AIMBOTTERS and all of those other hacks and glitches you can think of.

So why do I say this is my favorite? Well, that's because I when I pwn hackers... You just get this big sense of accomplishment for playing legit. When I get that bullet into the skull of that hacker, there's no better feeling.

Game Background:
Combat Arms is an intense, massive multiplayer game, created by Nexon Inc. A fast-paced, strategic FPS, it employs real-time warfare and team-communication to create a strategic gaming experience. Combat Arms contains 9 game modes, including the classic and popular One Man Army (a Free-for-all Deathmatch), the more team-based Fireteam (A Cooperative storyline-based mode), and the suspenseful and frightening gameplay of Quarantine mode (Infection). Currently, Combat Arms contains 18 varied maps, hosting enviroments from all over the globe. From the large cold mountains of Operation: Snow Valley; to the cramped, abandoned laboratory of Operation: Death Room, players can fight in all sorts of situations that pit their survival on their skills. Playing a successful match grants a player in-game money, known as Gear Points (GP), as well as experience (EXP). The more experience a player earns, the faster they rank up. As you rank up, you gain more respect, as well as special privileges. The higher rank you are, the better your access to special weapons and gear. Players can customize their characters by buying new weapons and equipment, such as vests, uniforms, headgear, and backpacks in the Shop, and then procede to modify them with silencers, scopes, or clips. Rare items and gear can also be found in the Black Market, where one can buy Mercenaries as well as limited edition gear. Afterwhich, players can join or start rooms, which are hosted by a Room Master. They are able to choose the map, game mode, set limits, and controls the weapons other players can use or not use, (for example, Melee Only, or No Sniper Rifles). Team up with friends, or join a Clan and lead your comrades to victory. Good luck, Soldiers!

COMBAT ARMS:

RECOMMENDATION:
If I were to rate this game from 1 out of 10 i'd give it a 3. If your not used to playing with or against hackers? Then I would highly recommend that you do NOT play this game. However, if you the type of person who doesn't really care and just want to shoot stuff... then COMBAT ARMS may be just the blood quencher your looking for. Just beware though, the hackers WILL get annoying.
